Jay at Proud Plumbing did excellent work for me. Over two visits, he methodically located a difficult blockage and discovered that an earlier repair had incorrectly used T fittings in the upstairs bathroom drain lines. He replaced them with the proper Y fittings, allowing him to snake and clear the blocked section. His expertise is reflected in his pricing, but the quality of his knowledge, persistence, and workmanship was clear. I would use him again.

Father and Son team that had great communication, good response time, doesn't do things they aren't qualified or licensed to do, points out issues that are not correct and should have action, even noting a loose exhaust connection on the furnace. Plumbers are a lot like realtors and car salesmen. Everyone has a horror story or knows someone who does. But when you find an exceptional one- you immediately lose all other numbers and that person becomes your person for life. Jay Cadamy at Proud Plumbing is that absolutely exceptional plumber.

Even though I called late night, after business hours, on the weekend - Jay picked up the phone and drove out into the country to help me. And when we needed things we didn’t have to complete the fix, he spent his Saturday picking everything up and coming back out to our home.

As he worked through the repairs Jay told me stories from different things he had done for both residential and commercial plumbing. We talked about what was “the best way” and what other realistic options could be too. He taught me more about plumbing, and what I needed to do to help my Mom with her home, than I could have learned from Google in a month.

Did he have teach? Provide options for different budgets? Explain “ideal” vs “safe”?Absolutely not. He could have just done the repair and charged me. I wouldn’t have known.  But Jay did it all. Where some people would have avoided those things, thinking they were giving up business or easy money they could have made - Jay treats every customer with the intention of building a lifelong relationship with them for all their plumbing needs. You are not a quick win paycheck. You are a person that Jay gets to know and takes care of, and looks out for just like he would his own friends and family.

Jay is the only plumber I will ever call for the Cambridge, Cadiz and Kimbolton areas. He is someone I trust completely and would feel 100% confident recommending to friends and family - and anyone who asked me for a Plumber.
